Wings are supposed to have "fingers" that stretch out, then the skin flaps connect to each part so they can catch the wind. .w.

I always thought that pterodactyl wings had tiiiny bones in them so they could still catch the wind instead of flapping that membrane in the open. owO; Sorry. XP
